Imagine if you uncovered a photo of a family reunion from 150 years ago, or finding the location of the very first family home on the frontier of North America.

Does it include my family crest?

Yes, absolutely. The genealogy packages on this page are our most extensive offerings and each one includes your family crest fully researched and recreated as a digital file pack - you'll get a vector PDF file and PNG file (600 DPI) with transparent background that you can use online or on printed items. 

 

You can then  add the crest to any items you wish in the future such as your email signature or on print items or use it on physical items like glasses and family t-shirts. The possibilities are endless!

What if you can’t find anything?

In the rare event that your researcher cannot find any traces of your family or your research goal is unachieveable they will contact you as soon as that has become clear - typically this is clear within the first several days of starting the project. 

 

At this point the researcher will explain in full what the challenge is and will offer any solutions that are available - such as switching focus to another family member or family branch.

 

In the unlikely event that nothing can be delivered you will be refunded the cost of your purchase minus a small amount to cover the initial research that was attempted up front. This is typically $75 and covers the hours of work your genealogist has undertaken so far.

 

In exchange for this they will provide you with a full list of resources and methods that they have checked which were unsuccessful so that you may have these for your reference for any future research. 

 

Rest assured we are able to successfully trace 90%+ of family lines in projects that are accepted. 

Will the researcher be in contact with me?

Yes, the research process for the packages on this page is a collaborative one. 

 

Your researcher will be in touch within 2 days of ordering and will provide you with a short questionaire which you can complete online. 

 

Here you will have the chance to tell them what you already know about your family such as names and birthdays etc.. Don't worry if you don't know everything about the family members you want to research (that's the whole point!) just tell your researcher what you know and what your primary goal is and they'll get started on the project. 

 

Each project is based on one primary research goal, for example a customer may tell us they want to find new relatives on their father's side of the family or they may want to know their first documented ancestors in North America. Each of these examples would be considered a research goal. 

 

If they have further questions as the project is underway they'll get in touch by email and you can chat.

How long does it take?

Projects are estimated to take between 2 and 5 weeks depending on the complexity of the work involved.

 

Your dedicated researcher will let you know during the process if there are any elements of the project that are a challenge which may extend delivery time. Delays can happen occasionally as your researcher works hard to get you the results you want but generally speaking these timelines are reliable for most projects.
